Located on the Continental Divide, Glacier National Park is linked with the adjoining Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta to form the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park. Glacier itself occupies 1,584 square miles (4,102 square km) in northwestern Montana. Mt. Rockwell and Two Medicine Lake, shown on the stamp, are two of its principal features. Fifty small glaciers feed hundreds of lakes, rivers, and waterfalls. More than 100 species of animals are known within the park. The park has more than 1,000 miles of trails.
